About the role:
LOVESPACE are looking for a talented and highly motivated Backend Developer to join our London team in the Technology department and reporting to the Head of Technology. The position will be heavily involved with the whole development life cycle of our systems, working with the whole company. You will need to be a “self-starter” and show initiative in coming up with novel solutions to technical problems.
Key responsibilities: Writing clean, straightforward, maintainable code. Assisting with overhaul of backend platform and gradual migration to a more flexible and modern system. Liaising with Product and stakeholders to produce requirements and technical specifications. Ensuring the backend infrastructure is running perfectly. Reporting progress and managing expectations across the business.
Essential skills: We are a .Net oriented dev shop so you must have 5+ years’ experience under your belt in the Microsoft ecosystem and C# in particular, with a comprehensive grasp of MSSQL and RDBMS systems. An understanding of WebApi, MVC, SOAP and and RESTful APIs is also crucial. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) is a must.
Great skills to have: Git, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy. Experience with IoC and DI will be very advantageous.
Essential education level: A 2.1 or higher bachelor’s degree in a technical subject is a must.
